Red Porridge, is a story of the trauma of the menstrual cycle between two generations,
between a mother and a daughter.

 

The video follows my grandmother and mother as they prepare and eat a traditional Finnish dessert, vispipuuro. Audio is retrieved from interviews with the subjects themselves on their experience of becoming a woman.
