Modeling clay is a joy; a lump becomes a face, the face is a mask, the mask is put on and
you become someone else.

 

Sa Vi Naa Mari is a mask constructed from 3 kilos of clay, that was air dried retaining the scent of the clay and leaving it subject to change over time. The mask is accompanied by a track created from archaic sounds. The eyes of the mask are covered with translucent paper, which allows light to pass through and shadows to be perceived. The work activates once the mask is put on.
